Uno and Dos (Orphan Ferals) Adopted Together
Uno and Dos (and Tres) came to me on June 13, 2023. They all weighed under 70 grams, eyes closed, and umbilicals still attached. They had been found scattered around a yard after a particularly bad rainstorm. Tres was the least active and did not survive the first 48 hours.
Mom is a known aggressive feral, so there was never much of an effort to capture her. We are hoping for the best for Uno and Dos, but given their low birth weight, they were probably premature and have a long journey ahead. Before we officially named them, to distinguish them, I had been calling them Uno and Dos. Uno has one stripe on his/her nose and Dos has two. That’s where the names came from.
